In-depth instruction in manual and computerized accounting.

The program provides training in a variety of office skills such as typing, data entry, and word processing. Emphasis is placed on Manual Accounting I, II, III. After the student has received the basics in accounting, each student learns Excel and computerized accounting using Peachtree and QuickBooks. The final stage of the program includes a course in career preparation, income tax preparation, and manual and computerized accounting.

Job Opportunities

Graduates of Comprehensive Accounting with Computer Operations are ready to assume roles of junior accountants or bookkeepers in business or accounting industries. Graduates are also able to work in industries dealing with payroll, auditing, banking, insurance, tax preparation, accounting and real estate. They also have the opportunity of being employed as an accountant’s assistant to prepare financial statements and reports for partnerships and / or corporate accounting. Additionally, there is the possibility of finding employment with any firms dealing with merchandise inventory, plant assets and depreciations, long-term liabilities and investments and statements of cash flow.
